Krys grew up in the southeastern corner of California, where the average rainfall was less than an inch per year. She now resides in the Puget Sound area, where there is significantly more variety in weather and seasons, and she enjoys every moment of it.

Krys lives with her husband (a.k.a. Captain America due to his chivalry and ignorance of his own strength), her teenage Love Child (not a blood relative, but daughter in every other sense of the word), her Squirrel (the seven-year-old with more energy than her namesake, and just as much of an attention span), one bipolar cat, and three dogs with absolutely no sense of personal space.

Krys has been writing stories since high school, after falling in love with a book that taught her to not to panic, always bring a towel, and that the answer is 42. When she finally stumbled into the world of romance a few years later, her destined path light up like a Christmas tree decorated by sugar-fueled fairies.
